About Me

I am a retired engineer with a degree in electrical engineering, although I did software for the last several years of my career.

I play guitar and keyboards, and in the past I have tried choral singing, tuba, baritone, and harp. My musical experiences have been diverse through the years. During high school and college I played guitar in stage band and in the orchestra for several musicals, including "Sweet Charity" and "Promises, Promises." I also played guitar for church youth group and sang bass in a few choirs. After I settled into my career, I played guitar and keyboards on a couple of church worship teams. Lately, I have been focused on writing new material and trying to improve my guitar playing.

I enjoy almost every type of music, except perhaps country, reggae, and rap. A few of my favorite artists: the Beatles; Elvis Costello; Jim Croce; Brian Doerksen; the Eagles; Rick Elias; Emerson, Lake, and Palmer; Gin Blossoms; Matchbox 20; Steely Dan; Pink Floyd; and Van Halen.
